With Thanksgiving and Christmas preparations, November and December have been incredibly busy. But that doesn’t mean I abandoned reading and writing. On the contrary! Not only have I been revising my debut novel, I’ve also enjoyed a few holiday books.
If you like Inspirational Christmas Romance, I’d love to share my treasure finds with you:
An Amish Thanksgiving by Beth Wiseman. Expect the gratifying elements of a Christmas novel, like romance, snowfall, and holiday magic, but with a Thanksgiving twist!
Beyond the mouthwatering Amish recipes, this novel takes us through a journey of family loyalty and healing from past wounds.
Christmas with You by Susan May Warren and Tari Faris. The last book of the Home to Heritage contemporary romance series, this is a story of enemies to lovers with a touch of
suspense that keeps you turning pages.
The plot revolves around a Christmas tree farm and charming small town heartwarming holiday traditions.
I absolutely have loved all the books in this sequence, starting with P.S Goodbye in the Restoring Heritage Novella Collection and recommend each one of them!
Rediscovering Christmas by Mindy Obenhaus. Tori rediscovers her faith after briefly losing it, following the death of her husband and her parents, and a fire that leaves her homeless. Our hero, Micah, draws her to a new romance and a happily-ever-after.
I found this author and became a fan right away when, a few years ago, I was a judge coordinator for the FHLCW Reader Choice Awards, and I received several comments from readers praising her work. I then started reading her Love Inspired books and got hooked by her powerful storytelling skills and memorable characters.
My short story, “Love on Calle Ocho”, is a sweet contemporary romance set in Miami during the celebration of the Three Kings Day Holiday (January 6). Click on the link to claim your free copy: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/85s4aa3ycq!
Here’s a blurb:
Maddie Jones has sworn off love after her ex-husband’s infidelity.
Carlos Flores is in love with Maddie and would give her the moon if she’d let him, but he knows about her old wound. Impulsively, he invites her to celebrate Three Kings Day with him and his family in Miami.
As Maddie uncovers Carlos’ many facets during their three-day weekend together, long-buried feelings awaken in her. Can she surrender her heart again?
I’m currently reading Wishing for Mistletoe by the incrdible Robin Lee Hatcher.
I’m only about 25% into the story, but the tiny town charm and Ariel, Tom and Shauna have already sucked me into the plot!
Still on my to-read pile on my Kindle shelf (the season isn’t over yet, after all):
A Match Made at Christmas – A collection of four novellas written by different authors, one of which is Lori DeJong, author of the award-winning Contemporary Christian Romance novel Love’s True Calling.
Christmas at Sugar Plum Manor by Roseanna M. White. Another novella. I have never read any of this author’s books, but she has a great reputation among Christian fiction readers and writers. And the cover is gorgeous! Why not give it a try?
